According to CNN.com, bed bugs bites were discussed at the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. This is because bed bugs can cause allergies from severe itchiness to asthma symptoms and, in rare cases, anaphylaxis (an acute, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction that can cause your blood pressure to decrease and your breathing to become difficult).
